Overview

As part of my work at Movistar Plus, I am responsible for the ongoing maintenance and adaptation of the platform’s visual assets across a wide range of content areas including cinema, series, documentaries, and entertainment. This involves ensuring that all artwork and promotional pieces are always up-to-date, visually engaging, and consistent with the Movistar Plus brand identity.

Content Adaptation: The platform requires constant updates to reflect premieres, new episodes, seasonal campaigns, and changes in programming. My role is to adapt each graphic to multiple aspect ratios and resolutions, making sure the artwork looks polished on every device. This includes creating background images, banners, and promotional cards that must be resized and reformatted without losing clarity or visual impact.

Challenges

Maintaining and adapting visual assets for a platform like Movistar Plus involves multiple challenges, from design consistency to technical performance. Below are some of the key aspects addressed in this work:

Constant Content Updates:
  • Challenge: The catalog is updated daily with new premieres, episodes, and campaigns.
  • Solution: Keep Photoshop templates organized and layered for fast turnaround, enabling quick delivery of high-quality assets.
Cross-Device Adaptation:
  • Challenge: Assets must work equally well on smart TVs, tablets, mobiles, and web browsers.
  • Solution: Adapt visuals into multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5) and resolutions, carefully adjusting compositions and typography.
Visual Consistency:
  • Challenge: Content comes from diverse studios and distributors, each with its own style.
  • Solution: Standardize layouts, apply color correction, and unify typography to preserve Movistar Plus’ brand identity.
Time-Sensitive Delivery:
  • Challenge: Campaigns and releases often have strict deadlines.
  • Solution: Establish a streamlined workflow with reusable Photoshop assets and a fast review process to meet broadcast and digital timelines.
User Experience & Engagement:
  • Challenge: Graphics must attract attention while remaining clear and functional across the interface.
  • Solution: Design clean, legible visuals that highlight the essence of each title, enhancing both usability and emotional impact.
